Ooredoo Maldives has added a fresh digital spin to this year’s Mas Race, unveiling the Mas Race Digital Game on its mobile app. The new feature allows fishing fans across the country to experience the excitement of the competition virtually, anytime and anywhere.
The interactive game, launched alongside Mas Race 2025, will remain live until 3 September 2025 at 23:59. Players can select their favorite Mas Race team, tap to catch fish, and earn points to climb the leaderboard. Each successful catch adds one point, with unlimited opportunities to improve scores throughout the contest period.
Prizes for Top Players
To keep the stakes high, Ooredoo Maldives has teamed up with Hai Fishing Tackles, the nation’s leading fishing gear provider, to reward the top performers with premium equipment:
- 1st Place: Daiwa Saltiga 2025 Reel
- 2nd & 3rd Place: PIO Ultimate Sea Spirit/Gangster (H/D) Rods
Bridging Tradition with Technology
Ooredoo Maldives said the initiative was designed to extend the thrill of Mas Race beyond the waters, making the cultural celebration accessible to all. “This is another step towards building digital experiences that reflect our traditions and passion for fishing,” the company noted.
Premium Gear for Enthusiasts
Hai Fishing Tackles, a household name among local anglers, continues to supply top-tier gear from global brands such as Daiwa, Penn, Abu Garcia, Yo-Zuri, Zenaq, Jigging Master, Okuma, and Pioneer. The company’s own Rankaru brand has also earned a loyal following, and its upcoming digital catalog is expected to provide a comprehensive showcase of fishing products for enthusiasts across the Maldives.
A New Way to Join the Race
By introducing the Mas Race Digital Game, Ooredoo Maldives has opened the doors for every fishing enthusiast to participate—whether by cheering for their favorite team or testing their tapping skills to win prizes.
