The Bank of Maldives (BML), in collaboration with Total Fitness Group (TFG), successfully wrapped up this year’s edition of the BML Wow Kids Run, drawing more than 1,000 children to Hulhumalé for an evening dedicated to fun, fitness, and family engagement.
The popular event, which continues to grow in participation each year, featured four age categories: 2–3 years, 4–6 years, 7–9 years, and 10–16 years. Children sprinted through courses designed to suit their age group, with the youngest runners cheered on enthusiastically by parents and spectators.
Every participant who crossed the finish line received a medal, underscoring the event’s inclusive and celebratory spirit. Medals were presented by BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, and senior bank officials, who joined families in congratulating the young athletes.
Launched as part of BML’s wider community initiatives, the Wow Kids Run is more than a sporting event. It aims to promote active lifestyles and healthy habits among Maldivian families, encouraging children to view physical activity as a joyful and rewarding part of daily life. The strong turnout this year highlights both the popularity of the run and the growing public awareness around the importance of exercise for children’s wellbeing.
With BML’s backing and TFG’s fitness expertise, the Wow Kids Run has become a flagship annual event on the community calendar—one that inspires children, engages families, and reinforces the role of sport in building healthier futures.
