Ooredoo artists on leave, Giving creative rein for kids to create

By Ahmed Ashraf Published September 24, 2025

Ooredoo Maldives has announced a unique twist to its annual Fun Run campaign, inviting children aged seven and under to showcase their creativity in a dedicated art contest. The initiative gives the youngest members of the community an opportunity to express their vision of the Fun Run while the company’s design team takes a short break.

A Platform for Young Artists

The contest, themed around the spirit of the Fun Run, encourages children to submit original artworks that capture elements of color, movement, togetherness, fitness, and fun. Parents and guardians can submit a scanned copy or photograph of the artwork via email to [email protected] before 27 September 2025, 23:59 (Maldives time).

Submissions must include the child’s first name, age, and the parent or guardian’s contact details. An optional caption of up to 20 words can also be added for display alongside the artwork.

Social Media Driven Selection

Ooredoo will share all eligible entries on its official social media platforms. The five artworks that receive the highest number of likes during the contest period will each be awarded a Fun Kit. Winners will be contacted using the guardian’s details provided at the time of entry.

To ensure transparency, likes will only be counted from posts made on Ooredoo’s official accounts. Each child may submit only one entry, and parents or guardians must consent to the use of the artwork on Ooredoo’s channels.

Fostering Community Spirit

“With our creative team on leave, we’re handing over the brushes, crayons and imagination to the real pros—kids!” said Hussain Niyaz, Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo Maldives. “The Fun Run is about community spirit and joy, and no one captures that better than our little artists”.
