By Ahmed Ashraf Published September 28, 2025

Ooredoo Maldives has announced a planned maintenance activity scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2025, between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM.

During this five-hour window, certain services may be temporarily unavailable as the company carries out essential upgrades. Ooredoo has not specified which services will be impacted but assured customers that disruptions will be kept to a minimum.

In its public notice, the telecom operator extended an apology for any inconvenience and expressed appreciation for customers’ understanding, emphasizing that the scheduled work is part of ongoing efforts to enhance network reliability and improve service quality.

Routine maintenance of telecom infrastructure is critical to ensuring seamless connectivity, particularly as digital usage in the Maldives continues to grow. With rising demand for mobile data, digital payments, and enterprise solutions, operators such as Ooredoo regularly implement system upgrades to maintain service resilience and expand capacity.

Customers are advised to plan accordingly for the brief interruption and to contact Ooredoo’s customer service channels should they encounter extended issues beyond the scheduled maintenance period.
