President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has declared that his government is delivering on every promise made to the Maldivian people, stressing that his administration works with sincerity, discipline, and fairness to bring long-lasting national progress.
Speaking at a political gathering at PNC House tonight, the President reiterated that none of his pledges have been forgotten. He emphasized that each commitment — from housing and youth development to health, education, and infrastructure — is being actively implemented.
“I remember every single pledge I made. I speak with sincerity, with the sole aim of fulfilling the wishes of the people” President Muizzu said, assuring that projects long stalled are now being revived, new initiatives are underway, and completed works are reaching the people.
The President highlighted that major housing initiatives are set to begin this year, including 3,000 new units in Malé, on top of 4,000 already arranged under India’s LoC. He reaffirmed that land plots and flats promised to citizens will be delivered without delay.
Muizzu also underlined that his vision of development is not limited to physical infrastructure but extends to rebuilding the social fabric, restoring respect, unity, and discipline in Maldivian society, while protecting youth from harmful influences like drugs and vaping.
On the economic front, he assured citizens that despite inheriting a “ruined and indebted economy” the nation is now on a recovery track. With China’s debt relief deal finalized, he pledged that all foreign and domestic debts would be paid without burdening the public.
“This government will never put the people in distress. We will continue to deliver on every promise, for every citizen, on every island — equally and fairly,” President Muizzu affirmed, receiving loud applause from supporters.
The President concluded by calling on Maldivians to stand united in support of his vision for a peaceful, prosperous, and comprehensively developed nation, where every promise becomes a reality.
