President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has embarked on an extensive visit to the inhabited islands of South Ari Atoll, continuing his nationwide initiative to strengthen direct engagement with local councils and communities.
During the tour, the President is scheduled to meet Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees (WDCs), and heads of key public institutions to discuss ongoing and future development priorities. He will also hold open forums with residents to hear their concerns firsthand and assess the social and economic challenges faced at island level.
As part of the visit, President Muizzu will travel to ten inhabited islands: Dhan’gethi, Dhidhdhoo, Omadhoo, Dhigurah, Maamigili, Mandhoo, Fenfushi, Hangnaameedhoo, Mahibadhoo, and Kun’burudhoo. Each stop will focus on assessing infrastructure progress, improving public services, and advancing development projects promised under his administration’s “Hafthaa 14” atoll engagement framework.
This visit reflects the President’s commitment to ensuring that every island community across the Maldives benefits from national growth and development efforts. It is part of his pledge to personally visit all atolls and maintain continuous dialogue with councils at island, atoll, and city levels.
President Muizzu is accompanied by several Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key government institutions, underscoring the administration’s whole-of-government approach to local development and citizen welfare.
