President Muizzu vows to build a proud, self-reliant Maldives as presidency enters third year

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu marked Republic Day with a heartfelt message to the nation, reaffirming his dedication to national sovereignty, unity, and development as his administration enters its third year in office.

In his social media post, the President extended “sincere congratulations and best wishes on Republic Day to the beloved people of Maldives”, while praying for the nation’s enduring prosperity and well-being. He described the day as a moment of pride and reflection for a nation determined to strengthen its independence and identity.

Highlighting his government’s ongoing efforts, President Muizzu stated that the administration’s journey is guided by the vision to “reclaim the Maldives for Maldivians” and fulfill the aspirations of the people. “We shall proceed forward with sincerity, seeking strength from the presence of Allah,” he wrote, underscoring his belief that faith and unity remain the foundation of national progress.

The President also conveyed deep gratitude to the Maldivian people for their continued trust and solidarity, assuring that the government remains resolute in its mission to deliver lasting progress. “We will secure bright days of civilization and development that will make the Maldivian people proud,” he pledged.

The message resonated widely across social media, seen as a reaffirmation of President Muizzu’s core promise to empower Maldivians and guide the country toward a future defined by independence, dignity, and shared prosperity.
