Visit Maldives opens new engagement drive to shape future of tourism

By Ahmed Ashraf Published 8 hours ago

Visit Maldives Corporation has begun a structured engagement initiative to gather insights from tourism industry partners and jointly shape the country’s global marketing strategy. The programme, announced in a press release dated 25 November 2025 , calls on resorts, guesthouses, travel agencies, and sector stakeholders to register for a series of upcoming sessions.

According to the release, the initiative aims to create a collaborative platform where industry players can voice concerns, share market intelligence, and propose ideas that support stronger promotional outcomes across all markets. Visit Maldives will host focused sessions in the coming weeks, bringing together its management and technical teams with sector partners to refine priorities, address emerging challenges, and explore new opportunities.

A central feature of the initiative is the formation of a Technical Advisory Committee, which will guide strategic focus areas including digital transformation, marketing optimisation, data use, market diversification, and new product development. The corporation noted that industry representation will be key to shaping the committee’s work, ensuring that market realities directly inform long term decision-making.

The programme also introduces more structured engagement formats such as quarterly review meetings, enhanced member interactions, and open feedback mechanisms aimed at strengthening transparency and communication throughout the year.
