Maldives Airports Company Limited has launched the “Stretch & Wellness” Programme, a structured employee wellness initiative aimed at improving physical health, reducing injury risks, and reinforcing workplace safety across the organization.

The programme was officially inaugurated during the Stretch & Wellness Fair 2026, held on Thursday in Hulhulé, marking a key step in MACL’s broader human capital development strategy. At the core of the initiative is a dedicated Stretching Programme designed for employees engaged in operational and physically demanding roles, where repetitive movements and physical strain are most common.
MACL stated that the programme promotes preventive stretching practices, ergonomic awareness, musculoskeletal health, and injury risk reduction, aligning employee well-being with operational safety and performance standards at the national airport operator.

The launch event featured a formal ceremony, certificate presentations to programme trainees, and a series of interactive fitness activities. These included guided walking exercises and combat fitness sessions, encouraging active participation while reinforcing a culture of movement and physical awareness within the workplace.
Alongside the programme rollout, MACL hosted a Wellness and Health Fair that brought together a wide range of healthcare and fitness partners. Participating organizations included ADK, Wellness Club managed by Heat, Revive Fitness, AMDC, SHE, Physio Solution, Legacy Fitness, Thasalli Medical Care, and HDC. Employees were provided access to health screenings, wellness consultations, and hands-on fitness engagement opportunities throughout the event.

MACL said the initiative reflects its continued commitment to building a safer, healthier, and more resilient workforce. By embedding employee well-being into its operational framework, the company aims to strengthen organizational performance, enhance workplace safety, and support long-term sustainable development of its human capital.
