Dhiraagu Launches Free Calls to Saudi Arabia for Eid, Offering 30 Minutes to Customers

By Ahmed Ashraf Published 3 hours ago

Dhiraagu has introduced a special Eid al-Fitr initiative, enabling customers to make free international calls to Saudi Arabia, as thousands of Maldivians travel for Umrah and reunite with family during the festive period.

In a statement issued on 20 March 2026, the telecommunications provider confirmed that customers will receive 30 minutes of free calls to Saudi Arabia under the limited-time offer. The initiative is designed to help users stay connected with loved ones abroad during one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar.

The offer can be activated by dialling *225#, with free minutes available for activation starting 20 March and remaining valid for a period of seven days.

Dhiraagu highlighted that Eid is a time when communication becomes especially important, particularly for those performing Umrah or spending the holiday away from home. By removing international call costs, the company aims to ease communication barriers and enhance the festive experience for its customers.

The company added that the initiative reflects its continued commitment to strengthening connections and enabling customers to share meaningful moments, regardless of distance.

This latest campaign aligns with Dhiraagu’s broader strategy of rolling out seasonal offers during key national and religious events, reinforcing customer engagement while supporting the needs of Maldivians both at home and abroad.
