First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has arrived in Fuvahmulah City as part of her ongoing campaign tour to support candidates of the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) ahead of the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
A large crowd gathered at the airport area on her arrival yesterday evening, welcoming her as she began engagements in the city.

During her visit, the First Lady has been participating in door-to-door campaign activities alongside PNC candidates contesting for the Fuvahmulah City Council. In addition to rallying support, she has also been meeting residents and checking on their wellbeing.

Her visit to Fuvahmulah follows an earlier stop in Thinadhoo City, where she launched the southern leg of her campaign efforts. After concluding her engagements in Fuvahmulah, she is scheduled to travel to Addu City later today as the tour continues.

The First Lady has been actively involved in campaign activities in recent weeks, engaging directly with communities and encouraging public support for PNC candidates in the upcoming elections.
The Local Council and WDC elections are expected to play a key role in shaping governance at the island and city level, with campaign activities intensifying across the country.
