Ooredoo Rolls Out Four-Week Saudi Arabia Calling Packages

By Hussain Shinan Published 2 hours ago

Ooredoo Maldives has launched special International Direct Dialing (IDD) packages for customers calling Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season.

The telecom provider said the new offers are aimed at helping Maldivian families remain connected with relatives and loved ones performing the annual pilgrimage.

Under the promotion, customers can choose from dedicated calling packages offering up to 150 minutes of international calls to Saudi Arabia, with all packages remaining valid for four weeks.

The available packages include:

  • 30 minutes for MVR 100
  • 75 minutes for MVR 250
  • 150 minutes for MVR 500

According to Ooredoo, customers can activate the packages directly through the Ooredoo App.

Commenting on the initiative, Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz said Hajj remains an especially meaningful period for many Maldivian families.

“Hajj is a deeply meaningful time for many families in the Maldives, and staying connected with loved ones during this journey matters greatly,” he said.

Niyaz added that the company hopes the new offers will make communication more affordable and accessible for customers during the pilgrimage season.

The company stated that the packages are designed to provide greater convenience for customers wishing to stay in touch with family members in Saudi Arabia throughout the Hajj period.

Every year, large numbers of Maldivians travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, with families often relying heavily on international calls to maintain contact during the journey.

Ooredoo said the initiative forms part of its broader efforts to introduce services and products that improve customer connectivity and everyday experiences across the Maldives.
