By Ahmed Ashraf Published December 28, 2024

A group of five individuals forced entry into a residence in Th. Thimarafushi, executing an attack that has raised serious concerns. The police, in a statement released to the media, indicated that the incident was reported at 1:27 PM today.

According to credible sources, The Standard has learned that the conflict stemmed from disputes related to drug dealings, with sharp weapons reportedly being used during the confrontation. Despite the severity of the situation, authorities have not yet made any arrests, and it remains unclear if there were any injuries resulting from the altercation.

The police are actively investigating the incident but have refrained from disclosing further specifics at this time. This assault follows a trend of gang-related violence in Male’ since last October, marked by numerous attacks linked to ongoing rivalries.
