MMPRC Unveils Key Initiatives for 2025

By Ahmed Ashraf Published December 29, 2024

In a press meeting today, Managing Director Shiuree Ibrahim and Chairperson Abdulla Ghiyas outlined the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation’s strategic initiatives for 2025. At the forefront is the launch of the “Visit Maldives Shop,” an innovative platform designed to distribute Visit Maldives merchandise to members and industry partners.

The comprehensive “Visit Maldives Calendar/Events” initiative aims to centralize all events occurring in the Maldives, enhancing global reach through meticulous planning. Furthermore, the “Visit Maldives Academy” will provide educational opportunities, fostering industry knowledge and offering Destination Specialist certification to foreign tour operators and travel consultants.

A significant development is the “Visit Maldives Content Portal,” which will serve as a curated hub for images and videos, promoting local creative talent by allowing them to monetize their digital assets. Complementing this is the “Visit Maldives Data Dashboard,” a centralized platform for industry insights developed in partnership with global data leaders.

To bolster its global presence, Visit Maldives will introduce “Visit Maldives Week” in key markets such as Germany, Dubai, India, and Russia. This week-long event will feature media events, press breakfasts, seminars, networking evenings, food trucks, outdoor marketing activities like car wraps, and public engagements with tour operators.

While ITB Berlin remains a significant event, the spotlight will shift to ATM Dubai for annual highlights. The goal for 2025 is to maintain consistent activity across the top 25 markets each quarter, supplemented by major summer campaigns and a robust public relations effort.
