The regional commander also expressed appreciation for the timely assistance from local community members and a private vessel, highlighting the collaborative spirit that ensured the safety of all individuals involved.

This incident occurred amidst challenging weather conditions, with the Maldives Meteorological Center issuing alerts for strong winds and rough seas over the weekend. Authorities continue to advise caution for sea travel during such periods to ensure public safety.
