President Muizzu’s Masterstroke: Maldives Becomes Official Tourist Destination of Liverpool FC!

By Ahmed Ashraf Published March 13, 2025

Under the visionary leadership of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the Maldives has taken a groundbreaking step to solidify its status as the world’s ultimate luxury destination. The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has sealed a landmark partnership with the legendary Liverpool Football Club (LFC), positioning the Maldives as the club’s Official Tourist Destination Partner.

This strategic collaboration—set to be unveiled on April 2nd at Anfield Stadium—will place the Maldives front and center in the global tourism market. With LFC’s immense global reach, boasting over 205 million followers and a TV audience of more than 211 million per season, the Maldives is set to attract high-value travelers like never before. The partnership is projected to bring in over 100,000 additional tourists in 2025, generating an estimated $100 million in revenue.

President Muizzu’s unwavering commitment to boosting tourism and economic prosperity is at the heart of this initiative. His strategic vision to elevate the Maldives as a premier, sustainable, and luxury travel destination is now materializing on a global scale. This collaboration is more than just branding—it includes high-impact activations such as the establishment of a Liverpool Academy in the Maldives, fan zones at global tourism events, and exclusive digital campaigns featuring LFC legends.
