“A Time of Joy, Unity, and Celebration” — Dhiraagu Spreads Eid Cheer Nationwide with Bondibaiy Drive

By Ahmed Ashraf Published June 6, 2025

In a heartwarming display of unity and tradition, Dhiraagu’s annual ‘Eid Bondibaiy’ initiative has once again brought communities together across the Maldives. The event, centered around the distribution of the traditional sweet rice dish known as bondibaiy, was met with enthusiastic participation in various regions, including the Greater Malé Area, Fuvahmulah City, Addu City, Kulhudhuffushi City, GDh. Thinadhoo, B. Eydhafushi, and ADh. Dhangethi.

Celebrating Eid with bondibaiy is a tradition we cherish, and it was even more special to share it with all of you after Eid prayers. Thank you for being part of Dhiraagu Eid Bondibaiy and making it memorable! 🧡#DhiraaguEid1446#DhiraaguEidBondibaiy pic.twitter.com/8Q38ivaTfl

In the Greater Malé Area, the festivities took place in front of Sultan Park in Malé and at the Synthetic Track in Hulhumalé, organized in collaboration with the Malé City Council and Urbanco, respectively. These events were part of a broader effort by Dhiraagu to support Eid celebrations across island communities nationwide, working in partnership with island councils and youth organizations.

By upholding and promoting traditional practices, Dhiraagu continues to play a pivotal role in fostering a sense of unity and cultural pride among the diverse communities of the Maldives.
