By Ahmed Ashraf Published 11 hours ago

The 16th edition of the Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR), the nation’s only international road race sanctioned by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), is scheduled for Friday, 24 October 2025, at Hulhumalé Central Park. Participants can sign up for the Half Marathon, 10 K, 5 K Single, or the new 5 K Corporate Team category (for groups of four from offices or resorts). In addition, this year also marks the expansion into Fuvahmulah with the debut of the Dhiraagu Fuvahmulah Run, marking the first internationally certified race held outside Greater Malé.

DMRR continues its longstanding partnership with child protection NGOs, a pillar of Dhiraagu’s CSR efforts. A total cash prize of MVR 256,000 will be awarded across all categories, and special grant funding will support NGO initiatives. Registration is now open for NGOs until 30 June 2025.
