First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has underscored the essential role of compassion and determination in advancing healthcare services, as she marked the 43rd anniversary of the Feydhoo Health Centre in Addu City on Thursday.

Addressing a special ceremony held in Maradhoo-Feydhoo, the First Lady shared her deep personal connection to the health sector, describing it as intertwined with her own memories and life experiences. She praised the evolution of healthcare on Feydhoo Island, recalling the introduction of allopathic medicine and celebrating the significant strides made in medical services over the years.
Sajidha emphasized that healthcare professionals must approach their work with calmness and thoughtful resolve to effectively tackle complex challenges. Her remarks highlighted the need for empathy and unwavering dedication to improve patient care and strengthen community trust in health services.
During the event, commemorative plaques were awarded to individuals who have made notable contributions to the growth and success of the Feydhoo Health Centre. The First Lady also presented special recognition to long-serving staff members who have devoted over three decades to serving the community, applauding their enduring commitment and hard work.
