He stressed the importance of internalizing the mission, vision, and values of the Maldives Police Service in every interaction—whether with citizens or colleagues. The Commissioner urged the recruits to stand firm against corruption, act impartially, and completely reject favoritism. He reminded them that fairness must be the foundation of policing and that ethical conduct should remain uncompromising.
Highlighting the need for both mental and physical resilience, Commissioner Naveen noted that policing involves engaging with people from all walks of life and navigating complex challenges. He encouraged the trainees to support and motivate each other, to value teamwork, and to avoid political influence in fulfilling their duties.
Furthermore, he advised the new officers to set meaningful career goals, embrace continuous learning, and seize every opportunity for personal and professional growth. Emphasizing community engagement, he pointed out that building strong, trust-based relationships with the public is key to effective and respected policing.
