BML staff step up to support vulnerable families during Ramadan

By Hussain Shinan Published February 17, 2026

Employees of Bank of Maldives (BML) have contributed to a Ramadan initiative aimed at assisting vulnerable families across the country.

The donations were made in support of a programme led by ARC Aid, which focuses on providing essential household items to families with children with special needs as well as single mothers during the holy month.

Through the collective efforts of BML staff, more than 100 care packs were prepared and distributed, benefiting families of over 200 children.

The initiative forms part of the bank employees’ annual tradition of supporting charitable causes during Ramadan. In previous years, BML staff have partnered with various organisations, including MOMS Aid, to extend assistance to communities in need. ARC Aid has also been among the beneficiaries of such support in recent years.

The latest contribution reflects continued efforts by BML employees to give back during Ramadan, reinforcing a spirit of solidarity and compassion within the community.
