BML, STO and MACL strengthen national support for Palestine through Platinum Souvenir Ticket drive

By Ahmed Ashraf Published 13 hours ago

Major Maldivian institutions have stepped forward in a powerful show of solidarity with Palestine by purchasing Platinum Souvenir Tickets for the Maldives U17 and Palestine U17 friendly series, amplifying a nationwide movement of unity and compassion.

The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) confirmed that Bank of Maldives, a long standing supporter of Maldivian football, was among the first to secure Platinum Souvenir Tickets. The contribution reflects the bank’s consistent commitment to nurturing local talent and its readiness to stand with the Palestinian people during a time of hardship.

The State Trading Organization Plc has also joined the effort. FAM described STO’s participation as a message that extends far beyond sport, symbolising hope, strength and the shared belief that young athletes deserve every opportunity to rise despite adversity. STO’s support reinforces the close bond that connects Maldivians with the Palestinian cause.

Maldives Airports Company Ltd completed the trio of national institutions showing support by purchasing souvenir tickets for the match. FAM said MACL’s involvement strengthens both youth football in the Maldives and the rebuilding of football pathways in Palestine, where the sport remains a vital source of resilience for young players.

All proceeds from souvenir ticket sales will be directed to the Palestinian Football Association to support youth development and reconstruction of football infrastructure in their conflict affected areas.

FAM encouraged the public to purchase souvenir tickets and join a movement that turns football into a symbol of compassion and solidarity. Organisers said the collective support from leading Maldivian institutions sends a clear message of unity as the Maldives stands firmly with Palestine.
