Call and data services back to normal, Ooredoo confirms

Users across the Maldives experienced a brief disruption to call and mobile data services at around 3:20 p.m. today. Ooredoo Maldives quickly acknowledged the issue and confirmed that its technical teams acted immediately to resolve the problem.

In an earlier, the company said: “There is a network issue noticed and we are working on to rectify this at the earliest.” Following this, Ooredoo confirmed over the phone that services have now been swiftly restored, with mobile connectivity returning to normal across affected areas.

While temporary disruptions can cause inconvenience, Ooredoo reassured customers that such incidents are rare and that rapid-response measures are in place to ensure continuity of service. The company also expressed appreciation to users for their patience and cooperation during the brief interruption.

As a leading telecom provider in the Maldives, Ooredoo emphasized its commitment to delivering reliable mobile services nationwide. The company noted that maintaining strong connectivity is essential for both personal and business communications, and assured that preventive steps are continuously taken to minimize future disruptions.
