Dhiraagu Invites Workplaces to Join DMRR 2025 Corporate Challenge

By Ahmed Ashraf Published August 23, 2025

Dhiraagu is gearing up for the Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) 2025 with renewed focus on workplace fitness and social impact, following an engagement session with organizations across the country. The initiative aims to encourage corporate teams to participate in the race and promote healthy, active lifestyles among employees.

The corporate team category, introduced in 2024, will once again allow teams of four to represent their organizations at the nation’s largest international run. Participation is open to resorts, government institutions, state-owned enterprises, and private sector employees. Registration is priced at MVR 1,000 per team, with a discounted rate of MVR 800 for payments made via Dhiraagu Pay.

Each registered runner will receive a complete race kit, including a T-shirt, BIB with timing chip, bag, and finisher medal. As part of Dhiraagu’s social responsibility commitment, MVR 100 from each runner’s fee will be donated to NGOs working in child protection, the dedicated cause of this year’s marathon.

Prize Pool for Corporate Teams

  • Champion Team: MVR 10,000
  • Runner-up Team: MVR 8,000
  • Second Runner-up Team: MVR 6,000

Winners will be determined based on the combined times of all four team members, with each participant required to complete the 5K run within 45 minutes.

International Recognition and Social Cause

DMRR holds the distinction of being the first and only international run in the Maldives, officially listed in the AIMS World Running calendar under the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). The 2025 edition will take place on Friday, 24 October at Hulhumalé Central Park, welcoming thousands of runners in support of child protection initiatives.

Dhiraagu confirmed that registrations will remain open until the event reaches a maximum capacity of 4,000 participants.

A Run with a Purpose

Since its inception, the Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race has stood out not just as a sporting event but also as a platform for social change, channeling funds to NGOs tackling pressing national issues. With the introduction of corporate team categories and a prize pool to incentivize participation, Dhiraagu continues to position DMRR as both a fitness movement and a corporate social responsibility platform.
