Dhiraagu has renewed its partnership with the Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) under the Partners for Humanity Initiative for 2025–26, reinforcing its commitment to supporting humanitarian services across the Maldives.
The renewed agreement will enable MRC to continue delivering critical assistance to vulnerable communities nationwide, extending both disaster relief and everyday humanitarian support. Through the partnership, MRC will provide essential services including first aid training, psychosocial and social support, as well as disaster response and recovery activities.
Bishaara Hameed, Senior Manager – Corporate Social Responsibility at Dhiraagu, emphasized the company’s pride in backing MRC’s mission. “Dhiraagu is delighted to support the Maldivian Red Crescent in their vital mission of serving our communities. We deeply value the dedication and compassion that their team and volunteers bring to those in need and honor their remarkable commitment. Through this partnership, we believe we can strengthen resilience, inspire hope, and create lasting positive change” she said.
The collaboration is expected to further strengthen MRC’s nationwide outreach, equipping the organization with greater capacity to respond swiftly and effectively during emergencies. It also reflects Dhiraagu’s long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility, particularly in building community resilience and safeguarding vulnerable groups.
The Maldivian Red Crescent plays a crucial role in the country’s humanitarian landscape, working with volunteers to provide life-saving assistance in times of crisis and promoting community well-being through sustainable initiatives. Dhiraagu’s continued support underlines the synergy between corporate partnerships and humanitarian organizations in addressing national challenges.
With this renewal, Dhiraagu and MRC are set to enhance their joint efforts in disaster preparedness, community resilience, and humanitarian outreach, ensuring that the most vulnerable continue to receive timely support when it is needed most.
