Despite growing awareness, dental and oral health remain overlooked areas, the First Lady noted, describing this as a critical opportunity for improvement. She highlighted that public education, healthier lifestyle choices, and regular dental check-ups are vital to strengthening oral healthcare and preventing serious complications.

Drawing attention to the alarming rise in untreated tooth decay, gum disease, and oral cancers, she stressed that dental health is deeply intertwined with overall wellbeing. The First Lady called for stronger policies and healthcare systems to address these challenges effectively.

Reaffirming her central message, she reminded attendees that compassion and dedication must guide all efforts in healthcare. She encouraged professionals to use the conference as a platform to foster new collaborations and advocate for integrating dental care as a standard part of health services.

Hinithun 2025 marks a historic milestone for the Maldives, bringing together local and international experts to elevate dental care standards and promote innovative solutions for oral health.
