Fenaka Corporation today launched its nationwide blood donation campaign, “Leyfavethi Fenaka”, positioning the initiative as the most expansive and coordinated blood drive ever undertaken in the Maldives.
The campaign, held in collaboration with Maldivian Blood Services, was inaugurated under the slogan “Blood Donation from All Over Maldives” by senior health and corporate leaders, reflecting a united national effort to strengthen life saving blood supplies.
The launch ceremony was attended by Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, Chief Executive Officer of Malé Group of Hospitals, Moosa Kaleem Qasim, Director General of Hulhumalé Hospital, Ahmeem Farish, Director General of Maldivian Blood Services, and Adam Thaufeeq, Deputy Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation.
Fenaka confirmed that the campaign will be rolled out across all islands where the company operates, in addition to the Malé region, marking an unprecedented nationwide mobilisation. The scale of the initiative underscores Fenaka’s growing role beyond utility services, extending into national social responsibility and public health support.
The campaign commenced this morning at Fenaka’s head office, where a strong turnout of employees set the tone for nationwide participation. Organisers highlighted that the drive is designed to create a steady and accessible blood supply for patients with thalassemia, individuals undergoing major medical treatments, and those requiring blood for surgical procedures.
Health officials stressed that sustained blood donation remains critical for the Maldives, where regular transfusions are a lifeline for hundreds of patients. By decentralising donations and taking the campaign to islands across the country, “Leyfavethi Fenaka” aims to remove barriers to donation and build a culture of continuous national solidarity.
With its ambitious nationwide reach and institutional backing, the campaign signals a decisive step toward strengthening the Maldives’ blood supply system and ensuring that no patient is left waiting for this essential resource.
