Upon arrival, President Muizzu was warmly welcomed by Football for Peace’s co-founder and former professional footballer, Mr. Kashif Siddiqi, alongside Ms. Shahnaz Gulzar, CEO of Bradford City of Culture 2025. Their discussions delved into the organization’s impactful initiatives, particularly its partnership with the Peace Centre at the University. Demonstrating genuine interest, the President toured the football pitches, engaging with young athletes immersed in training sessions.

Established in 2013, Football for Peace operates as a prominent international non-governmental organization. With backing from the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace, it leverages football’s vast influence to empower youth and tackle pressing social challenges. The organization’s mission revolves around fostering peace, enhancing social inclusion, and uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds through sports diplomacy and grassroots programs. Their endeavors have notably uplifted marginalized communities, instilling values of teamwork and conflict resolution among the youth. Through charity matches and specialized training, Football for Peace equips children, coaches, and team managers with essential skills, leaving a lasting global imprint.
