Maldives Police Begin Elite VIP Security Training in India’s Noida

In a significant step towards strengthening regional security cooperation, India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on 8 July 2025 inaugurated its first-ever international training programme for the Maldives Police Service at the VIP Security Training Centre in Noida.

A group of 10 Maldivian police officers have begun specialized training focused on VIP protection, marking a milestone in the strategic partnership between the two nations. This initiative aims to enhance the Maldives Police Service’s capabilities in safeguarding high-profile dignitaries and responding effectively to evolving security challenges.

The programme underscores India’s commitment to supporting its maritime neighbour in building robust law enforcement capacities. It also reflects the deepening security ties and mutual trust shared by both countries, aligned with India’s broader “Neighbourhood First” policy.
