By Ahmed Ashraf Published 5 hours ago

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company has donated MVR 100,000 to the “Maldivians for Ceylon” telethon, adding strong support to the nationwide humanitarian effort assisting Sri Lanka as the country struggles with severe flooding linked to storm Ditwah. The donation was handed over to the telethon team by MTCC staff.

With this contribution, total funds raised have now reached MVR 3,244,062.91 and USD 38,531.93. Both accounts remain open for public and corporate donations as the telethon continues to gain national momentum.

MTCC’s donation adds to the growing list of state owned enterprises, private companies, and individual donors who have united to help families in Sri Lanka facing displacement, destruction, and urgent humanitarian needs.
