Ooredoo Maldives has announced a Ramadan-season partnership with global e-commerce platform Temu, introducing exclusive online shopping incentives for customers across the Maldives as preparations begin for the holy month.
Under the collaboration, eligible Ooredoo customers who make qualifying transactions through the Ooredoo App will receive a special discount bundle worth up to USD 100, redeemable on the Temu App. The offer is expected to benefit up to 50,000 customers nationwide, subject to eligibility criteria.
The promotion is designed to make Ramadan shopping more affordable and convenient, covering a wide range of products available on Temu, including home essentials, lifestyle items, electronics, gifts, décor, and personal goods. Customers will receive the discount coupons directly within the Ooredoo App, reinforcing a seamless digital shopping experience.
Ooredoo Maldives stated that the initiative aligns with changing consumer habits in the country, as more Maldivians turn to online platforms for everyday purchases, particularly during peak seasonal periods such as Ramadan.
Commenting on the partnership, Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Maldives Hussain Niyaz said the company continues to expand value-added services that enhance customers’ daily lives. He noted that the collaboration reflects Ooredoo’s broader digital journey, offering meaningful rewards while supporting convenient, app-based lifestyle solutions.
Beyond seasonal promotions, both companies described the partnership as part of a wider effort to strengthen digital accessibility and affordability in the Maldives. By integrating telecommunications services with global e-commerce platforms, the initiative supports the country’s ongoing transition toward a more connected and digitally enabled economy.
Ooredoo Maldives remains one of the country’s leading telecommunications providers, delivering mobile, broadband, content, and enterprise solutions nationwide. Temu operates as a global online marketplace offering products across more than 600 categories, positioning the collaboration as a blend of local digital infrastructure and international retail access.
