Ooredoo Nation Ramadan eSports Festival 2K26 Concludes with Thrilling Finals at Youth Hub

Ooredoo Nation’s Ramadan eSports Festival 2K26 wrapped up with a closing ceremony at Youth Hub, ending a nationwide tournament that blended live stage competition with online brackets and drew strong participation across the Maldives.

Held in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts, the festival concluded on 1 March 2026 in the presence of Minister Ibrahim Waheed as chief guest. Ooredoo Maldives Managing Director and CEO Shadi Qawasmi and Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz also attended the ceremony.

This year’s event ran in a hybrid format, with Tekken and EAFC hosted as LAN tournaments at Youth Hub, while PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) were played online to enable wider participation from across the country.

The tournament attracted 20 players in EAFC and 16 in Tekken, alongside 38 teams each in PUBG Mobile and MLBB. Organisers said the competition delivered intense matchups, disciplined teamwork and standout individual performances across all titles.

Winners list

In PUBG Mobile, DGN SYNDICATE claimed the championship, finishing ahead of GAMEOVER REJECT in second and LF AKAZAYA in third.

In MLBB, LNN SLEEPINGFOREST secured the top spot, with KALHU OH FUMMI taking second place and KUIS VANGUARDS placing third.

The EAFC bracket saw MUG Yaish win the champion title, followed by MUG Raaidh in second and Zameel in third.

In Tekken, MUG Abaan took the title, while KUIS Esports Thaabish finished second and MUG Ashwan placed third.

Ooredoo Maldives said the Ramadan eSports Festival 2K26 reflected the continued rise of competitive gaming in the Maldives, positioning esports as a constructive platform for youth to showcase talent, build digital skills and connect through community-based competition. The company added that its ongoing partnership with the ministry supports its broader push to strengthen the local gaming ecosystem and advance a digitally connected Maldives, with momentum building for even larger tournaments in the future.
