Ooredoo Maldives brought together over 3,000 participants afternoon for its seventh annual Ooredoo Fun Run in Addu City—a colourful, non‑competitive 5 km event that has earned the reputation as “the happiest run in the Maldives”.
Held along the scenic route of Maradhoo Harbour, the event featured foam pits, colour‑powder stations, inflatable obstacles, upbeat music and water stops at each kilometre marking—transforming the course into a carnival‑like celebration of fitness and teamwork.
All finishers received a custom medal depicting the Dhon Dheeni, a bird native to Addu City, symbolising the area’s rich cultural and ecological heritage. Event organisers described it as a tribute to the city’s unique identity.

Ooredoo extended appreciation to the Mayor of Addu City, partner organisations, internal staff, and volunteers for their role in delivering the event. The coordination of free shuttle buses on race day further highlighted the company’s commitment to ensuring a seamless and inclusive experience.
Registration for the event, which opened mid‑June and closed June 26, offered two kit options: a standard package (T‑shirt and wristband for MVR 110) and a “Fun Kit” (additionally including a drawstring bag, sunglasses and bandana for MVR 210).
As part of its “connect‑communities” campaign, Ooredoo emphasises promoting active, healthy lifestyles while strengthening social bonds. This latest Addu City edition illustrates the expansion of the Fun Run as a nationwide celebration filled with joy, movement and inclusivity.
