President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has departed on an official tour of the inhabited islands of Haa Dhaalu Atoll, continuing his nationwide initiative to directly engage with communities and address their development priorities.
During the visit, the President will meet with island councils, Women’s Development Committees, and residents to discuss urgent needs and long-term aspirations. He will also assess the living conditions of local communities to ensure that government policies are aligned with the people’s most pressing concerns.
The President is scheduled to visit 13 inhabited islands during this trip: Hanimaadhoo, Naivadhoo, Finey, Hirimaradhoo, Nellaidhoo, Nolhivaranfaru, Kurinbi, Nolhivaran, Kulhudhuffushi, Kumundhoo, Vaikaradhoo, Neykurendhoo, and Makunudhoo.
This tour is part of President Muizzu’s broader pledge to visit every atoll in the Maldives, meeting with atoll, island, and city councils to accelerate development and strengthen the government’s connection with citizens.
Accompanying the President is a high-level delegation that includes cabinet ministers and senior officials from key government institutions, highlighting the administration’s commitment to delivering results and bringing the voice of the people to the heart of national decision-making.
