Council representatives raised urgent issues, including persistent electricity problems, and underscored the need for upgrades in healthcare and education services. Concerns over Maafaru’s strategic international airport were also discussed, with special focus on enhancing terminal facilities and improving the island’s harbour infrastructure.
President Muizzu, joined by Cabinet Ministers and senior government officials, assured the community that his administration remains fully committed to delivering sustainable development. He provided detailed updates on ongoing projects and reiterated the government’s resolve to resolve longstanding challenges facing the island.
