Q Study Maldives, one of the country’s most established overseas education consultancies, has officially rebranded as Zedex Study Abroad, marking a new era of growth, partnerships, and international expansion. The official launch ceremony was held in Sunday Night at Hotel Jen, Malé.
For past years, the consultancy — formerly known as Q Study Maldives — has guided hundreds of Maldivian students toward higher education opportunities at globally recognized universities. Since its inception, the company has successfully supported over 600 students in securing placements at reputable institutions worldwide.
Strategic Expansion and New Incentives
The rebranding reflects a broader vision to go beyond local student services and position Zedex as a regional player in international education consultancy. Under the new name, the company aims to expand its portfolio of services and strengthen its partnerships across multiple markets.
In a symbolic initiative blending education and cultural values, Zedex announced that for every two students enrolled through its programs by the end of 2026, an Umrah trip will be gifted via its partner, Qibla. The company said this initiative represents its commitment to rewarding trust and supporting holistic personal growth.
Enhanced Travel and Student Experience
To streamline students’ study abroad journeys, Zedex has also appointed Concierge Group Maldives, the General Sales Agent for Batik Air, as its official travel partner. This collaboration will provide affordable airfare, discounted cargo services for students and their families. These enhancements aim to make the pre-departure process smoother, more affordable, and stress-free for Maldivian students pursuing overseas education.

Commenting on the rebranding, Ahmed Zain Nazim, the company’s founder and owner, said the transition to Zedex Study Abroad marks the beginning of a new chapter in its mission to elevate educational opportunities for Maldivians.
“The page we open today under the name Zedex Study Abroad reflects our renewed commitment to delivering international-standard education opportunities and expanding the horizons of our students” Nazim said.
The launch event was attended by senior government officials, education sector professionals, students, and parents, underscoring the consultancy’s respected standing in the Maldivian education landscape.
