Police said Shamaal Hussain and Rajwan Latheef were arrested in relation to an attack that occurred on October 7 around 18:10, near the Post Office on Boduthakurufaanu Magu. The pair allegedly assaulted a man while riding a motorcycle.
Following their arrest, both were presented to court and remanded for 15 days pending further investigation.

October 4 Assault — M. Reendhoomage Area

The other four suspects — Thaif, Amsal, Neezaad, and Ishraaq — were linked to an earlier assault on October 4 around 20:30. In that case, a group reportedly arrived on motorcycles and attacked a man sitting on a parked motorcycle near M. Reendhoomage, using dangerous weapons.
Police confirmed that these four suspects were brought before court and ordered to be detained until the conclusion of their trial.
