State Trading Organization’s General Trading segment has officially launched its annual Ramadan Baazaaru promotion, continuing a long-standing tradition of offering special seasonal savings ahead of the holy month.
The STO Ramadan Baazaaru was inaugurated on the evening of December 15, 2025, at STO People’s Choice, with the ceremony graced by Ahmed Shaheer, Chairman of Housing Development Corporation and former Managing Director of STO. Senior officials and customers attended the launch event, marking the start of one of STO’s most anticipated retail campaigns of the year.
This year’s promotion will run until March 18, 2026, and features discounts across a broad range of household and consumer products. Customers can enjoy price reductions of up to 50 percent on selected home appliances, alongside special offers on essential items commonly purchased for Ramadan.
As part of the campaign, every customer who spends more than MVR 500 will receive a digital coupon. One coupon holder will be selected each week to receive a special gift hamper, while a grand cash prize of MVR 100,000 will be awarded at the end of the promotion through a raffle draw among all eligible participants.
The Ramadan Baazaaru is being held at STO People’s Choice, the Vilimale’ outlet, and 11 regional STO outlets across the Maldives, ensuring nationwide access to the promotional offers.
STO General Trading said the initiative is designed to ease household spending by providing quality products at affordable prices as families prepare for Ramadan. The Ramadan Baazaaru has consistently attracted strong public interest in previous years and is expected to draw similar enthusiasm throughout the 2025 to 2026 promotional period.
