President Muizzu leads the nation by buying the first Platinum Ticket for Maldives-Palestine U17 match at 20:30

By Ahmed Ashraf Published November 13, 2025

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has received the first Platinum Souvenir Ticket for the Maldives U17 and Palestine U17 friendly match, further underscoring his firm stance in support of Palestine. The presentation marked the opening of a special solidarity initiative organised by the Football Association of Maldives.

The match will take place tonight at 20:30 at the national stadium. It is more than a sporting contest, serving as a powerful expression of unity and resilience. The encounter brings together two youth teams whose passion for football reflects determination and hope. For the Palestinian U17 side, competing internationally is a meaningful reminder that their aspirations continue despite severe hardship.

FAM has released a limited edition of souvenir tickets, with all proceeds being channelled to the Palestinian Football Association. The funds will support reconstruction and youth development programmes in Palestine, strengthening opportunities for young players who face extraordinary challenges in pursuing sport.

Souvenir ticket holders will receive access to VIP and VVIP zones. General entry through Gates 1 and 2 remains free for all spectators in the seating and stair sections.

Bookings can be made by messaging 7507006 on WhatsApp or Viber or by visiting the ticket counter near Olympus from 9.00 a.m. on Thursday.

FAM called on the public to join a match that carries a deeper meaning, inviting supporters to stand with Palestine in a moment where football becomes a shared symbol of compassion and hope.
