Ooredoo Launches Flexible Roaming Data Packs With Day Passes and Multi-Week Options

Ooredoo Maldives has launched a new set of roaming data add-ons for both prepaid and postpaid users, aiming to make overseas connectivity cheaper, clearer, and easier to manage through the Ooredoo App.

The operator said the new line-up introduces more choice than before, including short-term day passes as well as two-week and four-week options, giving travellers the ability to match a pack to trip length and expected usage. The company also highlighted transparent pricing and real-time visibility of usage through the app as part of the customer experience.

Postpaid packs across 35 plus countries

For postpaid customers, Ooredoo said the add-ons are available across 35 plus countries, with options including:

  • MVR 99: 1GB day pass
  • MVR 200: 2GB for 2 weeks
  • MVR 375: 4GB for 4 weeks
  • MVR 400: 2GB for 4 weeks
  • MVR 750: 5GB for 4 weeks

Prepaid packs across 13 plus countries

For prepaid users, the company listed availability across 13 plus countries, offering:

  • MVR 99: 1GB day pass
  • MVR 250: 2GB for 2 weeks

Ooredoo positioned the add-ons as suited for travellers who need data for work, navigation, and essential travel tools, as well as for staying connected with family and sharing updates while abroad. Packs can be activated instantly via the Ooredoo App, and roaming activation is also available through Ooredoo’s online roaming portal.
