Ooredoo Maldives has become the first telecommunications provider in the Maldives to introduce eSIM services for both Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch devices, marking another major milestone in the country’s digital connectivity landscape.
The company announced on Wednesday that the new service enables customers to stay connected directly through their smartwatches without needing their smartphones nearby. Users will be able to make and receive calls, send messages, stream music, receive notifications, and access applications seamlessly using supported wearable devices.
According to Ooredoo Maldives, the wearable eSIM service is compatible with supported Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch models, offering added convenience for users during workouts, travel, outdoor activities, and everyday mobility.
