The President, who also serves as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, noted that Hussain carried out his duties with sincerity and commitment throughout his military career.

Extending sympathy to those mourning the loss, Dr. Muizzu conveyed his condolences to the late serviceman’s family, loved ones and fellow members of the MNDF.

He also offered prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to grant him eternal paradise and provide strength and patience to his family during this difficult period.

While details surrounding Hussain’s passing have not been publicly disclosed, the loss has been met with sadness among members of the defence community.

Military personnel often spend decades in service, contributing to national security and public safety across the country’s widely dispersed islands and maritime territory.

The President’s tribute reflects the significance of Hussain Abdul Rahman’s long service record and acknowledges his contribution to the nation through more than 21 years in uniform.
