Continuing a tradition spanning eight years, with the exception of 2021, the judiciary will host the national-level “Judicial Symposium” this year. The 2025 symposium will focus on Islamic financing and the integration of judicial and administrative practices in courts, reflecting the Maldives’ commitment to aligning its legal framework with Islamic principles.

This initiative aims to enhance the judiciary’s efficiency and ensure that judicial practices are in harmony with administrative procedures, particularly in the context of Islamic finance. By fostering dialogue and collaboration among legal professionals, the Maldives seeks to strengthen its judicial system and uphold the principles of justice and equity.
