In a heartfelt initiative to commemorate its 10th anniversary, BML Islamic has significantly broadened its Eid Sai festivities, hosting communal gatherings across ten islands during Eid al-Fitr. This expansion underscores the bank’s dedication to fostering community ties and celebrating cultural traditions throughout the Maldives.
Collaborating closely with island councils and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), BML Islamic orchestrated events in R. Meedhoo, M. Muli, GA. Gemanafushi, HA. Dhidhdhoo, ADh. Mahibadhoo, L. Fonadhoo, V. Keyodhoo, Hulhumeedhoo, N. Fodhdhoo, and Dh. Bandidhoo. These gatherings provided residents with a platform to unite, share festive meals, and strengthen communal bonds during the auspicious occasion.

This year’s initiative marks a notable increase from the previous year, where BML Islamic facilitated Eid gatherings in six islands. The decision to extend the celebrations to additional islands reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and its proactive role in enhancing community engagement across the nation.
As the Maldives observes Eid al-Fitr, a festival signifying the conclusion of Ramadan—a month dedicated to fasting, prayer, and reflection—the efforts of institutions like BML Islamic play a pivotal role in enriching the cultural fabric of the nation. By promoting inclusivity and unity through such events, BML Islamic not only honors its decade-long presence but also reinforces the spirit of togetherness that defines Eid celebrations.
