Aasandha expands nationwide with eight new regional service counters

By Ahmed Ashraf Published 6 hours ago

Aasansha has expanded public access to their services by opening eight new regional service counters across the Maldives, enabling residents in more islands to access healthcare assistance without travelling long distances.

The newly established counters are located in R. Ungoofaaru, B. Eydhafushi, Lh. Naifaru, ADh. Mahibadhoo, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, L. Gan, GDh. Thinadhoo, and Gnaviyani Fuvahmulah City.

According to Aasandha, the new service points allow residents to receive assistance directly from dedicated company staff within their own communities. The counters will handle medical assistance applications, respond to service inquiries, and provide support for other administrative services under the national health insurance scheme.

Before the latest expansion, Aasandha operated regional counters only in Malé, Hulhumalé, F. Nilandhoo, Addu City, and Kulhudhuffushi City.

Aasandha said the initiative is part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s commitment to improving access to essential healthcare services by bringing them closer to communities across the country.

Officials added that the expansion of Aasandha service counters will continue in urban centres throughout all atolls as part of wider efforts to strengthen nationwide healthcare service delivery and make public health services more accessible for all citizens.
