BML joins Maldives Half Marathon 2026 as exclusive banking partner

By Ahmed Ashraf Published 2 hours ago

Bank of Maldives (BML) has signed an agreement with iRunners to become the Exclusive Banking Partner for the Maldives Half Marathon 2026 (MHM26), strengthening its support for community initiatives that promote health, wellness and environmental sustainability.

The Maldives Half Marathon 2026 is scheduled to take place on 14 August at Hulhumalé Central Park and is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants from across the Maldives and overseas.

This year’s event will feature eight race categories designed to cater to participants of all ages and abilities. These include the Half Marathon, 15K, 10K, 5K Fun Run, 5K Wheelchair Race, Kids Mile and Family Run.

Ahead of race day, iRunners will organise a three-day marathon expo from 11 to 13 August at the Hulhumalé Running Track. The expo will provide runners and visitors with an opportunity to collect race kits, explore products and services from participating partners, and take part in activities leading up to the event.

MHM26 will also support environmental conservation through a partnership with Save the Beach NGO. Donations raised from event registrations will contribute to the organisation’s Protect the Reef Campaign, helping to fund efforts aimed at safeguarding the Maldives’ fragile coral reef ecosystems.

The partnership between BML and iRunners reflects the bank’s continued commitment to supporting initiatives that encourage active lifestyles while contributing to meaningful social and environmental causes.

Further details about the Maldives Half Marathon 2026, including registration information and event updates, are available on the official event website.
