Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is showcasing investment opportunities in Hulhumalé and Kudagiri at AIREX 2026 in Baku, Azerbaijan, as part of efforts to attract international interest in development projects in the Maldives.
The state-owned corporation announced its participation in the exhibition, where its representatives are engaging with international investors and industry leaders to promote potential investment opportunities in the two locations.
HDC said its presence at the event reflects its efforts to introduce Maldivian development opportunities to a wider international audience and establish connections with prospective investors.
The corporation is highlighting Hulhumalé, one of the country’s largest urban development projects, alongside Kudagiri, as destinations offering potential for investment.
Hulhumalé, developed on reclaimed land near the capital, is a major centre for residential, commercial and infrastructure development in the Greater Malé Region.
The planned city has expanded significantly over the years, with continued investment in housing, commercial properties, public facilities and supporting infrastructure.
Kudagiri, meanwhile, is an island near Malé that has been developed as a recreational destination, providing leisure facilities and beach access for residents and visitors.
Through its participation in AIREX 2026, HDC is seeking to raise the international profile of these locations and present opportunities for prospective investors to explore potential involvement in future developments.
The exhibition provides a platform for HDC representatives to engage directly with industry participants and introduce the corporation’s development portfolio to potential international partners.
HDC has been responsible for the development and management of Hulhumalé, overseeing projects intended to expand housing, commercial activity and urban infrastructure in the Greater Malé Region.
