Jumhooree Party leader and Maamigili MP Qasim Ibrahim has lauded President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu as the only national leader who has governed with genuine sincerity and determination since the adoption of the 2008 Constitution.
Speaking during a special gathering with the people of Fenfushi in Alif Dhaalu Atoll—part of President Muizzu’s ongoing tour of the region—Qasim Ibrahim delivered heartfelt praise for the President’s leadership and commitment to public welfare.
“Since the new Constitution came into effect, I have not seen a leader as sincere as President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu” Qasim said, highlighting the President’s courage and resolve in implementing people-focused policies. “Even if some say I am flattering, I am not. These are words I believe sincerely from the bottom of my heart”.
Qasim underscored that the President’s continuous island visits are not mere symbolic gestures but part of a hands-on effort to directly address issues faced by local councils and institutions. He emphasized that President Muizzu actively engages with relevant authorities to ensure swift and practical solutions—an approach Qasim described as “unseen in previous administrations”.
The veteran politician further commended the government’s ambitious development programs, asserting that they reflect a deep commitment to national progress and people’s prosperity. His remarks come as President Muizzu continues his extensive tour across Alif Dhaalu Atoll, reaffirming his administration’s pledge to bring equitable development to every island in the Maldives.
