The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has issued a reminder to prospective applicants that the deadline to apply for its 2026 Higher Education Scholarship Programme is July 15, urging interested candidates to complete their applications before the closing date.
The scholarship programme offers Maldivian students the opportunity to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD studies at selected higher education institutions in Malaysia.
According to the MMA, this year’s scholarship recipients will be able to enrol at Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS), INCEIF University, and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
Applications must be submitted online through the authority’s designated application portal before the deadline.
The central bank’s scholarship programme is part of its ongoing efforts to invest in higher education and develop skilled professionals capable of contributing to the Maldives’ financial and economic sectors. Each year, the programme provides opportunities for Maldivians to pursue internationally recognised qualifications in fields relevant to the country’s future development.
The MMA has encouraged applicants to review the eligibility criteria and ensure all required documents are submitted before applications close on July 15.
Further information on the scholarship programme, including eligibility requirements and application guidelines, is available on the Maldives Monetary Authority’s website.
