The Maldives has strongly condemned the recent ballistic missile attacks targeting civilian sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing them as a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Maldivian government said the attacks constitute a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The government reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Saudi government and its people, while expressing support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
The Maldives also stressed the importance of sustained dialogue and diplomacy to build on recent progress, prevent renewed tensions, and preserve peace, security, and stability across the region.
